The Orbit is the debut model of Link & Tag Project Watch.

Created in close collaboration with JSV Engraving Studio, it showcases our commitment to craftsmanship and designexcellence.

The name “Orbit” is inspired by itsdistinctive rotating second disc, which we have adorned with hand-engraved pattern: Shippō - motif carriesits own story — harmony, echo the theme of theengraved design.


Shippou (七宝)

 

In Japanese, Shippou means “Seven Treasures.” It is a traditional Japanese decorativepattern that combines visual beauty with profound symbolism.

In Buddhist scriptures, the Seven Treasures refer togold, silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, agate, red pearl, and coral—seven preciousmaterials symbolizing supreme value, virtue, and spiritual wealth, rather thanmere material rarity.

 

The pattern is composed of overlapping circlesforming interlinked floral chains, representing the close connection andharmonious coexistence of all things. The deep blue dial, like the depths ofthe sea, carries a sense of balance and stability, perfectly echoing theserenity and harmony embodied by the Shippou motif.

 

 

The new Orbit collection introduces three captivating fumé dialvariations, each inspired by one of the Seven Treasures (Shippou) of Buddhism.

 

Red Dial – Carnelian/ Red Pearl

 

The red dial represents Carnelian or Red Pearl, symbolizingthe spiritual wisdom of discernment and the transformative power of compassion,wealth, and purity. Its warm hue reflects both vitality and the enlightenedenergy that nurtures growth and benevolence.

 

Green Dial – Crystal

 

The green dial represents Crystal, one of the Seven Treasures that symbolizes the perfection of wisdomand spiritual wealth. In Buddhist tradition, crystal adorns the Buddha’s PureLand, embodying both physical and spiritual abundance. Its clarity serves as ametaphor for the purified mind and the illumination of truth.

 

Black Dial – Agate

 

The black dial represents Agate, a treasure associated with honesty, understanding, and harmony.Revered in Buddhist texts as a gem of the Pure Land, it embodies inner balanceand wisdom — the light that brings peace and joy through self-awareness andsincerity.
